Robert Leale, DDS
Dr. Robert Leale finds genuine joy in making a difference in people’s lives through dentistry. He believes in continually learning, providing excellent care, and earning each patient’s trust. For him, dentistry is most rewarding when patients feel confident that they’re receiving the best possible care. His goal is simple—helping people improve their smiles while making every visit a positive experience.
About Dr. Leale
Dr. Leale has called Washington home for more than 35 years. Before settling in Spokane, he spent two years in Uruguay doing missionary work and eight years out of state completing his education. He and his wife, a middle school math teacher, have three wonderful daughters and three dogs. Both are graduates of Brigham Young University, where Dr. Leale earned his undergraduate degree. He later received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland, while his wife went on to earn her master’s degree from Whitworth University. In his free time, Dr. Leale enjoys spending time on the lake during the summer and heading to the mountains in the winter.
Education & Training
Dr. Leale earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland Dental School after completing his bachelor’s degree at Brigham Young University. He is a proud member of the American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, and Spokane District Dental Society, where he serves on the peer review committee. In 2007, he was honored with the Academy of Dental Materials Excellence Award.
Since beginning his dental career in 2007, Dr. Leale has cared for patients throughout eastern Washington and northern Idaho. In 2011, he purchased Northview Family Dental from Dr. Rudd and has continued the practice’s long-standing tradition of trusted, patient-focused care.

- Favorite musical artist: “Taylor Swift — since that’s what we mostly listen to in the car, although Zach Bryan is a close second right now.”
- Favorite dental procedure to perform: “Single tooth implants — they make a huge difference for people and are usually much easier than they expect.”
- What would you like patients to know about you?: “Come as you are. We don’t judge — we just want to help you. It’s always better when people are honest about what they want or what worries them. I’d much rather have a patient tell me they’re unsure, nervous, or can’t afford something than have them just leave. Things only become more difficult and costly to fix later.”
