Fluoride is an important chemical that protects your teeth from plaque. It is a mineral that can be found in nature, and in moderation can give you infinitely better, whiter and just generally better teeth.
They also protect your gums not only by making a protective layer so that plaque and bacteria cannot harm them, but also ensure that an environment where good local bacteria can thrive will exist. However, since our bodies do not make or secrete fluoride, we have to rely on the fluoride found in water or food to be deposited in our mouths. We lose fluoride every day since plaque and bacteria slowly eats them, but if we brush our teeth with good toothpaste, then not only will the bacteria be brushed away, but the leftover fluoride will remain. Sometimes, we do not have enough fluoride to take care of our needs, and that is where a fluoride treatment comes in. What Is a Fluoride Treatment?A fluoride treatment is basically adding a more concentrated fluoride gel, foam or layer to your teeth. This is done so that your teeth will have proper amounts of fluoride. Fluoride gels are can be painted on your teeth or use together with a mouth guard.
