Your dentist will perform it by using the polishing tools that you might be familiar with from your routine cleanings. The goal will be to remove only a small amount of the surface in order to change up the look of your tooth. This is usually done without sedation or numbing your mouth.Some people confuse enamel shaping with dental bonding, but these two procedures are actually opposites. With enamel shaping, part of the enamel will be removed, and with bonding, additional materials will be added in order to fill in gaps or holes.
